TSW Hizto: “I really hope that we can play and win against really strong teams from the LPL and LCK”

"CFO last year had a perfect roster, so I think their performance is undeniable. However, [...] I hope you guys still support us so that we can go further into the tournament."

Q: Is this your first time in Korea? How are you doing?

Hizto: So, this is my first MSI ever and also my first Korea trip ever. So, I was very excited about the trip.

Q: Do you feel that, after Worlds and FST, you’re better adjusted as a team to competing on the international stage?

Hizto: I think after that Worlds event and right now until MSI, we have more experience on how we can travel better, how we can scrim better, and how we can better prepare. So, we hope that we can do our best at this event.

Q: DCG players talked about the difficulty of arriving last-second in Korea — limiting their bootcamp time — and lacking high-quality scrims as a little-known LCP team. Have you noticed any similar problems.

Hizto: So, I think it was actually a bit difficult for the teams who traveled a bit late and also practiced in a new country with different ping and different time zones with jet lag for sure. However, I still think that will be more on the skill side that the players need to pay attention to.

Q: With CFO’s core leaving to the LPL, many have seemingly written off the LCP representatives this year. Do you have something to say to people who doubt TSW?

Hizto: CFO last year had a perfect roster, so I think their performance is undeniable. However, Team Secret Whales and the other teams are different teams with different players. I hope you guys still support us so that we can go further into the tournament.

Q: Have you noticed any aspects of your team’s play — or the LCP’s style — that you want to improve to compete at the top level?

Hizto: For this MSI event, I really hope that we can play and win against really strong teams from the LPL and LCK. I think what really matters is how we play and how we bond as a team. So as long as we can do that really well, I believe that we can go further into this MSI tournament.

Q: Have you done anything fun with the team in Korea?

Hizto: Actually, we had multiple activities even before we came to Korea. For example, we hang out a lot and we do barbecue together. So, I hope that we will have a strong team spirit at this event.

Q: If you’re doing barbecues, who’s the best cook?

Hizto: That would be our media person. Her name is Lele. […] I think our support, Bie, is the best [of the players].
