HLE Zeka: “In the end, I think I’m more wary and cautious of T1 over BLG.”

"I mean, [T1 in the Play-Ins] is honestly a disaster for the other Western teams, for sure. I do agree with that."

Q: My first several questions are all going to be about Minecraft. How long have you been playing Minecraft? How many hours do you have in the game?

Zeka: Yeah, I think the actual hours that I played Minecraft might be 10 hours, maybe up to 20–30 hours. But I have always watched it, I think — I grew up watching a lot of YouTubers and streamers playing Minecraft. So I think it’s been over 10 years since I have actually been familiar with Minecraft.

Q: Are there any Korean Minecraft creators you’d recommend?

Zeka: There’s a Korean creator, a streamer named Alligator.

Q: If you were to pick any MSI players to play Minecraft with, who would you choose?

Zeka: I’m not sure how familiar everyone is and how good at Minecraft everyone is. Lately, I have played with Zeus and we talked about how we want to beat Hardcore mode. I think I want to pick Zeus for now.

Q: After G2 6-0’d the LCK in FST, have you thought about getting revenge on them for the region? How are you hoping to reassert the LCK’s dominance?

Zeka: Our team, HLE, and also T1, are representing Korea in this MSI. Since it is being hosted in Korea, I think it is so inevitable, and so obvious, that we will take the title in the end. And I think it is doable.

Although G2 is a great team, I think there are a lot of different favorites from other regions as well. A lot of top-tier teams have qualified for MSI. I just have to watch out, in many ways, and be cautious throughout this tournament.

Q: Have you been able to watch LPL and see Knight’s individual dominance? How strong do you think Knight and BLG are at the moment?

Zeka: Because the LPL schedule is different from the LCK, I did watch a lot of the matches. BLG especially have the history of winning MSI twice, so given that this time they had to climb all the way through the lower bracket in the playoffs, I think they are doing really well right now. They’re on a really good momentum, and from the LPL teams, I’m definitely watching out for them.

But in the end, I think I’m more wary and cautious of T1 over BLG.

Q: T1 feels insanely strong. Do you think it’s fair for them to be in the Play-Ins? As a Western fan, it feels really unfair.

Zeka: Yeah, I mean, this is honestly a disaster for the other Western teams for sure. I do agree with that. I can understand that.

I think just from T1’s perspective, they actually have a really rough schedule as well. Because they were able to play so many matches, maintain such good form, climb all the way up, and just constantly win, I think if they make it to the bracket stage, it’s just going to be very difficult to face them.

Q: Is your goal to get huge and look like this guy? Are you hoping to terrify your opponents on-stage?

Zeka: First of all, I’m actually not as muscular as you might think — I’m actually quite squishy. I’m actually more fat than muscle. You know, I do agree that that’s a great body, but I think my goal is not to terrify my opponents with my body, but to terrify my opponents with my gameplay.

So, looking back at the picture, it is a great body. I’m sure it would feel amazing to have that kind of body, for sure.
