TSW Pun: “We’ll try our best to not disappoint you in the upcoming tournaments.”
Q: What do you think went wrong today against LYON?
Pun: Unfortunate turns of events made it so that we lost the first game, and then what followed was a snowball on our mentality.
Q: Is there someone on the team who normally takes charge of helping the team reset mental?
Pun: I think every single person in my team would do that for their teammates. Every single person was trying to reset their mentalities for the other players.
Q: Was it mostly just the tilt from Game 1? Were the drafts solid in Games 2 and 3?
Pun: I think the decisions that we made in the ban-pick of Games 2 and 3 could’ve been better, but then it was also pretty good at the time. We definitely had a few more options that we could have used — but at the time when we were on the stage, those were the best options for us.
Q: After the TES win, it’s still a great tournament for LCP and TSW. How do you feel about the performance overall?
Pun: Our main goal in this tournament was to not get 0-6’d, and to restore some of the glory to the LCP, and we managed to do that with the 3-1 victory against Top Esports. We really wanted to get another victory with LYON in this series and make it to top 4, but, unfortunately, things did not exactly go as we planned.
Q: Looking ahead to Worlds, because you’re still favored to make it there, how do you think the team can improve to do better next time?
Pun: In-game, we probably could do with a few more additions to our champion pools, but I think the biggest thing we can [improve] is just talk to each other a bit more before a game or series. I think that would really help us a lot.
Q: Speaking of champion pool, your Sett and Volibear really impressed fans. Do you pick them because of your comfort, or are they actually stronger than people think in Fearless?
Pun: I think I’m confident with them, and I thought [of the champions I play], they would fit in pretty well with a team comp. That’s why I picked them.
Q: Can you tell me about your chain?
Pun: For me, it’s just a piece of accessory. And I think it looks cool and I just like to wear it.
Q: So there’s no religious or superstitious thing with it?
Pun: Yeah, just a piece of accessory that I find beautiful.
Q: Do you think today, Dhokla played to neutralize you as a carry threat, or do you think you individually underperformed?
Pun: I think Dhokla actually played pretty well today, and he fares pretty well with the meta champions. As for me, I think they’d already prepared countermeasures to my champion pool today so I couldn’t really showcase everything.
Q: Any final message for TSW or LCP fans?
Pun: I thank you all for the support that you have given to me and the team so far. We’ll try our best to not disappoint you in the upcoming tournaments.
