- He was basically raised in an animal hospital run by his parents, as they are a veterinarian (father) and a nurse (mother).
- Dropped out of regular high school to pursue alternative schooling to take the Korean SAT. He intended to study to become a veterinarian himself. He has said that’s his plan for when he retires from progaming.
- Started playing League in Season 3 but stopped for a while because of his studies. Picked it up again in 2018, when he decided to stop pursuing school to become a pro.
- His parents didn’t agree with his choice but after some time they finally accepted it and have come to be proud of him.
- During his time in Korea, he went by the IGN Viole.
- His current IGN comes from the initials of Min-Soo, his given name (“M” and “S”).
- Before coming to NA, he played in Korea, Oceania, Turkey, and Europe.
- When asked about if someone impressed him in the other leagues he played, he mentioned his former TCL coach Nova. He feels without his support he would have probably considered retirement.
- Credits C9 for helping him become a good teammate. He’s also very grateful for them trusting in him.
- Before joining C9, he was interviewed by Blaber who harshly confronted him about his past and his reputation as a toxic player. EMENES got really nervous. After the interview, Blaber was sure C9 shouldn’t sign him. However, EMENES personally contacted Blaber afterwards and they had a much more calm conversation that made him change his mind.
- Self proclaimed best Lux player in the world. Has said he wants to play her on stage. (He has played Lux in competitive matches, during his time in NACL and NLC.)
- When asked what does he think about his teammates, he has a very simple answer: #tomiocute.
- After losing to Chovy during MSI, he asked him for feedback on how to improve.
