TSW Pun: “We are still in a young stage […] we know that we don’t really have high hopes.”

"HongQ and Junjia came out of LCP but they still proved themselves — I think they proved that LCP is not weak. They went to LPL, but still got to First Stand."

Interview conducted on First Stand Asset Day, March 15, 2026.

Q: How have you been enjoying Brazil?

Pun: I think Brazil is very nice and beautiful.

Q: This is your second international, after CFO did so well last year — but most don’t think you’ll live up to that. Do you think you can?

Pun: This is my second — last [year] I went to Worlds.

CFO’s performance was pretty good — the fans were very enthusiastic. […] Last year, CFO was a very great team. They had good performances and they are very strong teams. And we are still in a young stage and trying to improve ourselves — we know that we don’t really have high hopes. But I can guarantee, [for our fans], that we will do our best.

Q: Your first opponent will be G2. Have you looked into Brokenblade? He’s a very unique player.

Pun: So I think BrokenBlade is a very good top laner. He has great mechanics, he’s smart, and he has a big champion pool as well. Actually that resembles myself — I play off-meta champions. So I think we can expect [both of us to have] some strong picks on the top lane for this event.

Q: I’m excited for that. Have you already prepared some interesting picks that people aren’t expecting?

Pun: So I think that it will be very comp-based — where I would like to play different champions if I have a good [angle]. But right now I don’t have any specific answers in my mind.

Q: Out of the LEC, LCS, and LCP, do you have a strength of the three regions right now?

Pun: We’ve scrimmed against some LEC and LCS teams and, based on my personal experience, I think LEC is still a stronger opponent compared to LCS.

Q: How do you feel playing in the same tournament as HongQ and Junjia once again?

Pun: HongQ and Junjia came out of LCP but they still proved themselves — I think they proved that LCP is not weak. They went to LPL, but still got to First Stand. If we have a chance to play them, I really want it.

That actually proves that LCP is also quite a strong region and I cannot wait to play against them if I have a chance this time, because it will be a very interesting game between us.

Q: Outside of the LCK and LPL, do you have any specific players you’d love to face at this tournament?

Pun: Besides BrokenBlade who is a very strong opponent I would say, in a way, I also want to play against Dhokla.

Q: Guigo’s also known for unique carry picks, like those two are. Do you feel like this is a major strength for top laners these days?

Pun: I think that actually it’s because LPL and LCK [make the meta, so] outside of LPL and LCK, most of the top laners play in the same way. I think this is my advantage in Fearless Draft.

Q: Is there a player you’d love to meet out-of-game at an international tournament that you haven’t yet?

Pun: Besides top laners from LPL and LCK like Bin or Kiin, I also want to meet Zeus because he couldn’t make it this time as well. He is a very interesting player as well.

Q: Do you have any final message for Pun fans?

Pun: I would like to send my best regards to my fans for supporting us while we made it all this way — we will do our best to [show you] a great performance of Team Secret Whales at this tournament.
