Interview conducted on First Stand Asset Day, March 15, 2026.

Q: Compared to CFO, last year felt like a huge disappointment. How did you feel about Worlds?

Dire: I think in the last Worlds we did not get a very good result mostly because I did not do well, on my part.

Q: Have you felt more confident with your champ pool and gameplay this year?

Dire: This time, I actually feel a lot more confident because I have learned a lot from my mistakes [at Worlds] and I’ll try my best to put out the best performance possible.

Q: What would it take for you to pick your iconic Irelia? Is she playable in this meta?

Dire: Irelia is actually not a good pick in this meta because the meta right now revolves mostly around AP champions, so there’s not a lot of chances that I could bring Irelia to mid lane.

Q: Are you familiar with Caps’s pedigree? Are there other players at FST you’re hoping to face?

Dire: The opponent that I want to face the most in this tournament is probably Chovy.

But as for Caps, I have done my homework. I have actually done a lot of research on him — both him and G2 — because I thought that he’s a respectable opponent and his team has a very diverse play style, so I watched him a lot.

Q: You seem shy in-person, but do seem to enjoy yourself with the team — are you more of an introvert personality?

Dire: I’m more of an introvert because I don’t talk much. I usually play games to learn more about myself. I like to spend most of my time in games and learn how to be a better person.

Q: Dylan Falco, the coach of G2, mentioned that your style as a team is very aggressive, defined by unique champions. To me, it sounded a lot like Caps. Do you feel your styles are similar?

Dire: I feel very good. We have been doing pretty well in scrims lately. Most of the opponents that I’ve faced seem like they’re on par with us, so I don’t feel like we are the underdogs here or that we are short of any [tools] to fight them off.

Q: Considering you didn’t meet your expectations at Worlds, what are your goals for First Stand, individually?

Dire: This time I feel more confident and I learned a lot so I can perform better. I’m pretty sure that I can bring my team to victory this time.

Q: Do you have a final message for Dire fans?

Dire: I would like to thank everyone for supporting me. Thank you all for the continuous support — you guys are the motivation for me to play better.
