TL CoreJJ: “We like to bully UmTi, especially when [Yeon and APA] meet him in soloQ, […] UmTi’s reaction is very fun.”

corejj explains why tl struggled in spring our early losses v0 spg 7h v6hwqnteerel9wvbsozp1i14ly5b8e2xvrjs

Q: Did you guys end up scrimming yesterday? How did that go?

CoreJJ: We were definitely depressed and we didn’t have the best scrim; we had a bit of hangover [depression] from the loss. But I’m happy we played well today.

Q: How were the vibes today?

CoreJJ: We [won] against Dignitas, which is a very, very good team, I believe. At the end of the regular split, they even showed that they were one of the best teams in the league. I’m very happy that we beat them completely.

Q: So you think 100T is really bad and you’ll 3-0 them too?

CoreJJ: I think so.

Q: To me it looked like Dignitas played badly, but you still think they’re good?

CoreJJ: Now, we know how they play so we could prepare, but when they played regular split, they were really good.

Q: How are you feeling about the TL/FLY series?

CoreJJ: I think it was a really long series, we learned a lot and we [definitely] got better. So, I’m excited for the next time we meet them.

Q: After a phenomenal week for you and Yeon, how strong are you feeling as a duo?

CoreJJ: In terms of bot lane power, I think we are the best bot lane. I think we can beat any bot lane in the 2v2, and I’m very confident in Yeon. Basically, Yeon is trying to carry more, which is very good, he’s not like a passenger or a follower, he’s trying to lead. And he’s trying to play how he can carry the game. He’s starting to have a great player mindset.

Q: That reminds me of how people say Doublelift plays the game.

CoreJJ: Yeah […] in League, the ADC is the carry of the game, right? Now, Yeon knows what environment he needs to carry the game, and before when he was adjusting to a situation, now he’s making the situation.

Q: If Yeon is starting to comm more, it sounds like you guys have a lot of loud voices in comms, right?

CoreJJ: It doesn’t change much. For example, even though Yeon is doing what the great players do, it’s not like he’s saying everything, just commanding what he wants. So, some very important thing doesn’t need to be said multiple times. […] I mean, we will discuss the best way to play the game after the game or something. If we don’t have good [alignment], in-game communication will be really messy. But we [work] so it’s not messy.

Q: On PROS, you said Isles was on your All-Pro, why is that?

CoreJJ: Isles is a player who doesn’t int, which is a good thing, but also a bad thing sometimes. [Some] support players make a super or a super int. But some players, people don’t even notice they exist, because they’re not making a good play, but they’re not making a bad play. […]  I’m closer to the not throwing style — actually I’m just moving back and forth. Depends on champion, depends on game. I adapt to the situation.

Q: What are 100T’s strengths and weaknesses?

CoreJJ: They’re very decisive, and they make really cracked plays, game changing plays from the topside. Their bot lane is very solid and safe, which also means they’re sometimes useless. We can make a big bot gap like today.

Q: Any message to the TL haters?

CoreJJ: We’re doing very well right now, but if we don’t do well next series, they’re probably correct. It’s our job to prove that they’re wrong.
