SEN HamBak: “If we go 50-50 with any team, there is a [good] chance for us to win.”

"We didn't scrim, after Brazil, against LYON, but I think we can [beat] them because we're better now [than we were] in Brazil."

Q: Did you know you have a reputation for being a crazy, ultra-creative jungler? Other junglers always talk about how unique and active your style is.

HamBak: No, I’ve never heard.

Q: What do you think about it?

HamBak: I think my style is not NA style. NA jungler style is farming and carry role, [but] I like ganking more and then teamfight; 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 — not only team fight 5v5. I like small fights. They feel like [I’m] a crazy jungler, but I think that is better than farming style.

Q: It’s kind of the difference we saw at FST, right? Are there any other junglers in NA who can do that? Gryffinn seems really aggressive, in my view.

HamBak: Gryffinn is like … it’s Inspired style, like farming style. Yeah, but I think this meta is like, First Stand, that is gank meta. So, I changed it, my style a little bit. This split [I] will change it [again].

Q: Compared to last split, you’re gonna you want to gank and fight more?

HamBak: Yeah, but last split is like farming meta, I agree. But meta changed for First Stand, I thought. So, I will change [my] style more in second split. So, yeah it’s a gank meta in Split 2, so Xun and Skewmond is … I thought they’re right [about how to play].

Q: How has it been getting along with the team?

HamBak: Teammates and coaches are very kind. So, I can be easier to adapt to NA. So, I can just play League only. Yeah, that’s fun.

Q: How did you feel about Brazil? What went wrong?

HamBak: I felt in Brazil, the Brazilian teams had a better understanding of the meta.

Q: Is that the fast play-style meta we were talking about? Did they get ahead on that?

HamBak: Yeah

Q: River was very good at the style, but do you think any junglers in NA will be able to pick up the style that Tatu beat C9 and SEN with?

HamBak: Maybe… Maybe eXyu and Contractz like gank, gank more than Gryffinn [and] Inspired. But… Yeah, just those two people.

Q: Would you say that in this meta, Contractz and eXyu are better than Gryffinn and Inspired, or still no?

HamBak: Still no, but… They try to do many ganks like me, but it’s not with good [enough detail to be better than Gryffinn/Inspired]. But, they will be better.

Q: I assume your goal as a team is to make it to MSI, right? Are you top 2 right now?

HamBak: I think our team… I think NA teams are very similar. […] There’s not too many differences between like the first and second place.

Q: So, can you list your first three or four?

HamBak: Maybe LYON, TL, C9… I don’t know [about] C9 and FLY, but…

Q: Where are you? Do you think right now, you’re above TL and LYON?

HamBak: We’re first.

Q: Why do you think that? What makes SEN better than LYON after FST?

HamBak: We didn’t scrim after Brazil against LYON, but I think we can [beat] them because we’re better now [than] in Brazil.

We need to [improve] in individual lane phase or early game, but […] if we go 50-50 with any team, there is a [good] chance for us to win.

Q: 50-50 early game?

HamBak: Yeah, early game.

Q: Any fun things you’ve done with the team or any players?

HamBak: Yeah, I [had fun] when I went to Huhi’s house, and then a little small party and play other game with teammates, that is so fun. […] Like computer game, online game, but it’s not League. [We played] Liar’s Game.

Q: Who won? Was anyone good at it?

HamBak: Maybe me and DARKWINGS won.

Q: Do you have any message for Sentinels fans?

HamBak: We can… we will be better [than in Lock-In]. Thank you for cheering for us, yeah, that’s it.
