IMT Tactical: “The vibes are really good, but it’s for sure chaotic”

Q: IMT is looking really good, what changed this split?

Tactical: We’re really on the same page now, like our team works well synergistically, kind of with Solo as a supportive top and [me and Treatz] we like to be played around in bot.

Q: How are the vibes in the team? Are comms clean in these insane games you’ve had?

Tactical: The vibes are really good, but it’s for sure chaotic, like we’ve had talks to make sure some people talk less and other people talk more about the big picture. We get really hyped together.

Q: So, sounds like you guys are getting along well with each other?

Tactical: I know on some teams it can be awkward with everyone trying to be friends suddenly, but we’re doing really well. Especially Erik (Treatz) and I, we’re really close friends.

Q: Did you convince Treatz to come to IMT?

Tactical: I wouldn’t say I convinced him, but I think it’s a guarantee that he wouldn’t have joined if I wasn’t here. We’ve played together, he knows I’m good and I know he’s good — I don’t know if he cares about topside and stuff.

Q: On-stage, you and Treatz played really well, and it sounds like you guys are really good friends off the rift too.

Tactical: We’re at, like, the point where we just shit talk each other all the time, you know? We’ll say the most insane stuff just casually, like we’ll tell each other ‘oh you’re dogshit wtf’ in the most monotone voice, so we really get along. I think we all work well together with our personalities.

Q: Moving onto the LCS overall, every game feels like a stomp, is that just the meta?

Tactical: I think enchanter meta means teams can be really oppressive, especially Milio. That champion is so strong when he gets ahead, so teams stomp with early leads.

Q: How do you think IMT stacks up to the other teams?

Tactical: Going into the week, I thought it’s C9, then FLY, and then a free for all below that. It really depends on how teams ramp up and how they adjust to the new patch, because it changes a lot.

Q: You’ve got a pretty cool jersey, but some others are pretty controversial — talk shit on another team’s jersey.

Tactical: Not gonna lie, NRG’s just throws me off, like the color scheme and the big NRG just looks kinda weird to me.
