GAM Emo: “What? [Poby] from T1?”

Q: You didn’t get to play many of the games between yesterday and today. What was your reaction to winning?
Emo: I’m really happy that we were able to come out on top. Personally, […] for my team to win without me, it will make me a little bit sad. But honestly, overall, as long as my team win[s], I don’t really think much about it.
Q: Yesterday, you mentioned you were having mental struggles, and that you made the call to take a break to maximize your team’s chance of winning. Was that what happened today too? Are you struggling with the international stage?
Emo: Both yesterday and today, the decision to change the midlaner was made by the coaching staff. [..] Both of the midlaners have a different kind of champion pool. […] It’s most likely that the decision to change the midlaner was due to a change of tactics, so it doesn’t really bother me.
Q: BLG vs. G2 is happening right now, and you have pretty little time to prep. Assuming G2 wins, how are you feeling going into the matchup against them?
Emo: We have just won our match, so we still have a lot of confidence going on. BLG [vs.] G2 is happening right now, and we will take a really deep look into it, figure out how they play and beat them tomorrow.
Q: Assuming G2 loses, do you have a message for Caps?
Emo: If G2 loses against BLG today, I hope that they are mentally prepared to face us tomorrow.
Q: How has Vancouver been for you? Have you done anything fun with the team?
Emo: Vancouver weather is really nice. And one of our biggest concern[s] when we landed in Vancouver was how to get over the jet lag, so we tried to do a lot of things together. We sleep at the same time, we went out for a walk together, we ate together. I had tried some really good pho and sushi when I was here.
Q: Do you have players that you watch in other leagues? Especially NA/EU?
Emo: I watch a bit of Vladi and Humanoid. Especially since I once lost to Humanoid, I always keep an eye out for him and try to learn as much from him as possible.
Q: Did you know that Humanoid was replaced by Poby this morning?
Emo: What? From T1?
Q: What’s your reaction?
Emo (in English): Ohh … sad.
Q: Do you have a message for Jojo? I know the others didn’t make it, but…
Emo: It was a heartbreaking loss, but I think JoJo is a very good support player, and he deserves more attention. And I hope that after this MSI, the team will get the attention that they deserve.
Q: Do you watch any media popular in the west, like American TV shows or movies, or Japanese anime?
Emo: I do watch anime, but not the American or EU shows. But do let me know if you have any good ones to suggest [or] recommend.
Q: What are your favorite anime?
Emo: Naruto, Pokemon.
Q: You mentioned jet lag. After you prep, do you think you’ll all be able to get a good night’s sleep tonight before going against G2 tomorrow?
Emo: Before arriving to Vancouver, we already knew that jet lag could be a thing for us. […] But once we’ve set our foot here, we keep telling ourselves that we are not under jet lag, […] so that we would not be too concerned about it and actually get a good sleep.
